In Articles 261 to 265 in the Labor Law Book, No foreigner can work unless he possesses a work permit and an employment card issued by the Ministry in Charge of Labor. These foreigners must also meet the following conditions

Employers must beforehand have a legal work permit to work in the Kingdom of Cambodia;
These foreigners must have legally entered the Kingdom of Cambodia;
These foreigners must possess a valid passport;
These foreigners must possess a valid residency permit;
These foreigners must be fit for their job and have no contagious diseases.
These conditions must be determined by a Prakas (ministerial order) from the Ministry of Health with the approval of the Ministry in Charge of Labor.

The work permit is valid for one year and may be extended as long as the validity of the extension does not exceed the fixed period in the

residency permit of the person in question.

A work permit is a primary document that allows you to work anywhere other than your native country. Therefore, a Cambodia work permit visa will facilitate your right to legally stay and work in this country without facing any troubles with migration.

An employer has to secure this foreign work permit in Cambodia for their employees outside the country. Here’s what an employer should do to get a work permit for foreign employees in Cambodia:

Certificate of incorporation registered business address
Foreign employee quota approval
Tax patent
Approval from the Ministry of Commerce
Articles of Incorporation of the company

It is mandatory to pay tax for a valid extension of employment card and work permit before the end of March every year. If the validity of the card and permit is not extended by the due date, the enterprise or establishment responsible will be considered to be employing foreign labor without an employment card and work permit.

Any person breaching the provisions of this Prakas shall be liable to fine or punishment as stated in Chapter 16 of the labor law.

1- A request FWCMS account through https://www.fwcms.mlvt.gov.kh/

2- A digital Certification of the Owner of the enterprise

3- A digital Passport

4- A digital Business Visa on arrival

4- A digital validation extension visa (business visa) or stay permit

5- An employment contract for foreigner

6- A certificate of physical

7- Photo 4x6cm

The Maximum length of service (working day) is 20 days or one month for completion.
